Data protection and data management
Ecofellows Ltd. data protection is mainly governed by the Personal Data Act, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act.
EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
As of May 25, 2018, the processing of personal data has been governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation and other national legislation. The goals of the EU’s general data protection regulation are e.g. emphasizes the person’s right to control the processing of their own personal data and to bring transparency to the processing of personal data.
Data processing basis
Most of Ecofellows Ltd. services are based on the fulfillment of a legal obligation or public interest. In this case, we do not need separate consent for the processing of your personal data. However, some of the services are those for which personal data is collected based on your consent, and in this case we ask you for your consent to the processing of your data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
General data protection
The storage, archiving, disposal and other processing of data is governed by the archive creation plan and information security and data protection guidelines. Personnel are regularly trained in the correct handling of personal data. The information stored electronically in the registers is protected so that only authorized persons can view it. Manually maintained materials are located in premises to which unauthorized access is blocked. Only those persons employed by the registrar who need information in their duties have the right to use the register. Users are bound by a duty of confidentiality. The registry data is securely backed up and can be restored if necessary.
